Martin Peters scored to give England a 6th minute lead before George Best equalised on 50 minutes after dispossessing Nobby Stiles on the edge of the penalty area. Geoff Hurst restored England''s lead 7 minutes later and Bobby Charlton delighted the crowd by scoring England''s third goal 9 minutes from time.
