Left home at about 11:00 and walked to Chester station to get the 11:35 train. Originally I did not need to change but for some reason I had to change at Wolverhampton which made me get to Birmingham later than I originally planned. The walk from New Street Station was dreadful through what seemed like the worst parts of Birmingham. One of the worst walks to a ground I've had to do. Got to the ground at about 14:15. Sat in the Tilton Road end. The game itself was a strange one but very entertaining. Both sides were clueless in defence, Hull in the 1st half and Birmingham in the 2nd. Both of Birmingham's goals in the 1st half were from mistakes in the Hull back line and Che Adams who was impressive all game had 2 east finishes. Birmingham did look comfortable at HT but Hull improved in the 2nd half and deserved to get back into the game through 2 goals by Frazier Campbell. They then took the lead through a wonderful free kick from Grosiski and then it became an end to end game with Birmingham throwing everything they had to get an equaliser while leaving spaces at the back. Eventually Birmingham equalised through scrappy defending in the penalty area before Adams completed his hat trick by stroking the ball in. A draw was probably a fair result but Hull will have felt unlucky given they came from behind to lead. Walked back to New Street Station and got the 18:15 train back to Crewe but my original train to Chester was cancelled so I had to wait an extra 30 mins before the next one. Got back home at about 20:15.
