Left my room at about 12:15 and walked down to canteen on campus to have lunch. From there walked to Bache Station where I got the 13:05 train to Moorfields and changed there to get a train to Kirkdale. Walked to the ground which took about 15 mins. The area around Goodison is an awful area and very run down. Got to the ground just at about 14:10 and walked around the ground and collected my tickets from the ticket office. Went into the ground at about 14:30. The seat I had was a very good one apart from the fact that there was a pillar in front of me, blocking part of the penalty area. Luckily I could see both goals and by moving slightly, my vision wasn't impaired. Everton started the game very brightly and dominated the ball for nearly all the 1st half and Brighton had very few chances to get hold of the ball. Everton had a few chances to take the lead but no clear cut chances where they should've scored. Brighton looked very poor and I expected more from the side given their recent run of results. The 1st half finished 0-0 and Everton should've gone in leading given how much control they had over the ball. The 2nd half started with Brighton coming out the blocks and having a short spell of dominating possession and a succession of corners. The game then petered out for about 5-10 mins and it looked like it would end 0-0. However, on about 60 mins, Bolasie beat about 3 players down the left flank before floating a ball in behind the Brighton defence to the back post where Bong turned it into his own net under pressure from Walcott. Everton then took control of the game and showed the same level of dominance they had in the 1st half. They doubled their lead on about 75 mins through Tosun. The ball was worked to Baines on the left who produced a low cross to Tosun who finished it brilliantly into the top corner off the crossbar from the edge of the penalty area. Nothing less than they deserved and Brighton were well below par throughout the game. To add to their misery Knockeart was sent off around 80 mins through an act of stupidity after lunging two footed at Baines on the left. Everton had the chance to extend their lead even further through a penalty from Rooney which looked a bit soft but it was saved well from the Brighton keeper. The game finished 2-0 which was probably harsh on Everton given how much they dominated the game. Left the ground and walked back to Kirkdale and got the 17:12 train back to Liverpool Central and got the 17:30 train back to Bache and walked back to the canteen for dinner. Got back to my room at about 19:15 ish. This ground got me to half way through the 92.
