Being Liverpool fans,Saturday 10th November took us rather tentatively to Goodison Park, the home of our city neighbours Everton, who were entertaining Sunderland. It was obviously a ground we had mixed feelings about visiting but as it was part of our adventure we had no real problem about going there. My mate John ( our milkman) an Everton season ticket holder offered us a voucher enabling us to obtain discount tickets for the game.£15 for mine and £5 for Luke''s was a decent bargain. So I went to the ground on the Friday to buy them.Lower Bullens Rd,is not the best part of the ground but it didnt matter to us.In fact the seats were accompanied by an obstructive view.On the Saturday we took the local bus to the game and stopped off for our usual ''pre match meal'',sausage roll and cakes from Sayers. We made our way to the game, bought the match programme and I took a couple of pictures of Luke before entering the ground. We found our seats and we got exactly what it said on the tickets an obstructed view which consisted of a big post blocking the view to the Gwladys Street goal completely. The game kicked off in front of 35,999 supporters and Sunderland were the better team in the first half scoring in stoppage time at the end of the the half through Adam Johnson.Everton improved after the the interval and had numerous opportunities to score before Maraoune Fellaini and Nikica Jelavic both scored in the last 20 minutes to give Everton a 2-1 victory. The problem we had was that all the goals were scored in our obstructed view goal.At the final whistle we made our way to the chippy where curry, rice and chips was the highlight of the day.We actually ate them on the bus home. They were lovely Programme £3
