I''ve been going to bournemouth every holiday for years. but they''ve always been away or somethings always stopped us. i spent 5/6 weeks in bournemouth and the week we played them the world was against me. this season i was hoping for better, but a tuesday night game in late november was a date a joked about. not so funny now. but luckily, they were playing preston, and a chance to see former manager graham westley. he has 5 former boro players, scott laird at left back the key player. bournemouth saw a man sent off in the 25th minute after 2 yellows in 10 minutes. they scored first though a well worked free kick resulting in a neat header, but i knew a preston would come back. westley had the ability to make his players play to the end, as our manager, most of our goals last season were second half. and a late on equaliser showed his teams grit. bournemouth didnt show desire to get a second goal and win, and if anyone would snatch a win, it was preston. but no goal came and it finished 1-1. during half time i had to hide my celebration of seeing stevenage were winning. it was my first game where i was a neutral and i found it a lot more enjoyable than i thought. up next coventry and doncaster, back with my side stevenage.
