We were at Andy & Helen''s for the weekend, and glancing thru the paper noticed BC were at home, kick off 5.20. So given reluctant permission, Helen got on the phone and got me a ticket. I mentioned Martin Sagar had said, when I go to City, he''d like to go too. So I phoned him and he was up for it. Helen booked a second ticket, and I left at 3.15 to drive to Martin''s, and were joined by his friend and season ticket holder, Tim, who directed me thru'' town to a suitable parking place, 10 mins walk from the ground. As we were 45 mins early, Martin & I caught up with the news before ko. Because it was televised fewer Cardiff fans than expected turned up, for what is a local derby, with English/Welsh rivalry adding extra spice. Cardiff played the better football, and there were chances at each end. Cardiff got a deflected goal just on half time. Nine mins into the second half, Jon Stead equalised to set up an enjoyable conclusion, with each side going close, but Cardiff scoring the killer goal, again deflected, two mins from time. Shame! So Cardiff move into the play offs, Bristol are only 5 points above the drop. Met up with Tim after, and he led me back to Martin''s, dropped them off, and on to Malmesbury, were they are waiting for me so they can have their evening meal. Back by 20.45
