Went to this game in the car with Hibs, Fairsy, Chad and his sister Liz. I drove and we left about 10am arriving in Lewes just after 12. The pub Steve had suggested didnt look the best so we moved up the hill to The Oak which turned out to be just as bad! We then walked up the high street to the Brewers Arms. By this time Steve, Leeeee, Jay and Morley had met us. Had a reasonabe meal in the pub and found a rather strange chair in the pub with a hole in the seat. Given Brightons reputation we had a bit of a laugh about what this was for and I think the lads staying over may have gone back to get it later! We all caught the train to Brighton and oddly met a Brighton fan who had got married in Stowmarket. The new ground was ok but maybe not as amazing as expected. At least its not the same as all the other new grounds though. It will be improved over the summer as they are finishing the top teir and filling in the corners. Town lost 3-0 although this was rather harsh. We didnt deserve much but the score line was harsh and the third was on the bfreak right at the end as we tried to get back into it. Left a few minutes early and got the train back to Lewes. On the way home Hibs played dJ and subjected us to hits from Cilia Black, Aled Jones, Five and various other. Fairsy showed off his amazing music knowledge and we were back in Ipswich by 19.30 which was nice! Now re-done the 92 which is good although not as special as the first time.

I drove to this game with Jay,Morley and Bomber as we were all staying the night in Brighton on the LASH !! Parked in Brighton and checked into the B&B then jumped on a train to Lewes where we meet the rest of the bunch and had a few drinks before the game. I wasn't overly impressed with the stadium as the stands behind the goals looked to small compared to the main stand. Realitively small capacity for a new ground too. The game was one to forget as Town lost 3-0. We left after the 3rd goal and made our way back to Brighton on the train to get ready for the BIG night out !!

Been a long long time since I have looked forward to an ITFC game for so long, which is due to the recent form of the Blues and could we possibly make a late push for the play offs? Went with Pagey, who drove, Fairsy, Chad & his sister Liz. Ground is not actually in Brighton, it is just on the outskirts, between Brighton and Lewes. Lads did a little research and thought best idea would be to go to Lewes as opposed to Brighton itself. Arrived about midday Barnard, Jay, Morley & Bomber (who were staying for weekend) caught up with us and we went to a couple of different pubs, which weren't that great. Last one had some random Toad in the Hole chair with a hole in the sitting part, which naturally opened up the Brighton reputation banter. We headed to the ground via train and just about squeezed on (memories of tram to past Manchester based England games) and from the outside the ground was rather impressive - Little disappointed at the inside of the ground but apparently they are planning to put another 8000 seats in the summer, which will push it to circa 30,000 and imagine it will be impressive then. Game was rather frustrating - We played a high line to compact the midfield and try and nulify the Brighton passing game but they had a player on loan from Man City, Rasak, who was just a cut above the rest on the pitch and he basically ran the show. Brighton kept putting quality balls behind our back 4 and this is where the 1st goal came from. 3 nil flattered them but I take nothing away, they were better than us on the day and the result basically puts an end to our already outside play off chances - Annoying to considering the results invariably went for us today. We decided to go straight home without a Carvery stop this time and to pass the time we played guess the song, giving Fairsy the opportunity to show off his unquestionable knowledge, with the undoubted fav song being Five. Good day out, shame about the result and hats off to Pagey and Barnard who complete the 92 again... well at least until the summer anyway heh lads.
