Left home at about 12:20 and walked to the station. Got the 12:51 to Warrington and got to the station at about 13:20. Picked up a copy of the Warrington Guardian as they had a voucher in the paper giving free entry to the game. I then walked to the ground which took about 30 mins and I got there at about 14:00. Strange ground with one end of the ground not having anything behind the goal. One stand along the touchline was a nice modern stand which was probably paid for by the FA Cup run from a few years back. The game itself was an entertaining one with Warrington being slightly more dominant in terms of chances but both sides could've won it and both played so good football once the game got going. Warrington took the lead about 25 mins into the game through a long ball upfield which caught the goalkeeper out by coming out of his box only for the Warrington winger to round the keeper and put the ball in a empty net. Basford equalised on about 65 mins through a simple corner kick headed into the top corner at the back post. The game surprisingly died down for about 10 mins but Warrington went for it in the last 15 mins and should've converted some of the chances they had but didn't. Basford had a couple of chances themselves once the game opened up in the last 15 but not any clear cut ones. Left the ground at about 16:50 and walked back to the station and got the 17:30 train back to Chester and got back in at about 18:15.
