Midweek cup match vs. Birmingham, a team two divisions higher. A lot of Argyle fans made the trip up for a Tuesday night match. We weren't expecting much after a lame defeat to Southend the preceding Saturday. I took the coach up. The ground is large and accessible. I didn't eat in the ground, however the programme was of a good quality and reasonable price. A Birmingham goal and a penalty award meant we thought we were out of it early in the second half. However, Jake Cole saved Lee Novak's penalty and Lewis Alessandra scored a brilliant goal to level the score. Another Birmingham goal was cancelled out by an injury time equaliser from, that man again, Alessandra. Unfortunately we ended up losing it in extra time, but a good day out and an exciting game. Would go again.
