The fourth game off the season and Derby County away !! Birmingham still without a win along with Derby since both returning to the top flight !!
The day began with Fletch, Joe, Warren and Ash getting the short train journey from new street to Derby. A quick sandwitch in the cafe opposite the station and in to the merry widdows next door for a couple, A couple there and a walk down to the brunswick was next. The lads had a few pre-match beers and shorts, Fletch was heaving and nearly sick before kick off, the lads made there way in the roasting heat to the ground !! Make no mistake, everyone was pissed !!
The leads took there seats, a low lower than last years right by the front. The game began and within a minute Blues where in front, Cameron Jerome went round a defender and hit a low shot in the bottom corner !! The blues fans had barely took there seats but where going wild !! The game continued, Blues and Derby created a couple of chance but the score was 1-0 to Birmingham at the break. This game was the start of the Gary O'Connor famous song, ''O'Connor, woooooaaaahhhh, O'Connor, Wooooooaaaaahhhhh, he shagged a prostitute so why's he substitute, O'Connor, Woooooooaaaaaahhhhhhh'' A CLASSIC !!
A smoke at half time for the fag ashes and back up for the second half !!
The second half began badly as Mat Oakley soon equalised for the hosts, 1-1 !! About 10 minutes later though things where looking up as Seb Larsson flicked on a cross and Cameron Jerome volleyed low in to the bottow corner with the away fans behind the goal !! The crowd went wild, Fletch went running off with some lads who rumbled with the old bill, the piggys where grabbing him, the lads and Fletch tried to save the bluenose but to no avail and he was nicked !! Fletch went back to his seat and Blues hung on for all three points and a first premiership victory !! The lads where well pleased !! Liam Ridgewell come to the fans to throw his shirt in and unbeliably Warren with his two dogdy hands scrambled and got it !!
The lads walked down the road singing and with Ridgewells shirt !!
Back in the merry widdows the songs began, a few Leeds where in there who had been Forest away and got a bit wound up with some chants and stormed out !! Blues where have been up for the rumble but the one geezer was massive so they where aloud to storm out the pub !! After that Warren was allowing people to have there photos taken with Ridgewells shirt and everyone was enjoying the moment until one fat women tried to nick it, Warren wern't having it and stood his ground !! People where recommending he gave it to kids, Warren said NO !! Outside the pub Fletch popped outside and was having a drink with a few Blues, to there shock a vile fan walked past in his top, there was a bit of banter but Fletch had to take it one step further and threw his beer at him !! A blues fan recommended he went back inside as loads of old bill where around so he did !!
The lads headed for the delayed train about 7:30pm, there where a few blues on the station, a few old bill follwed, Fletch thought it would be nice to give one of the senior coppers a cuddle, the copper did not enjoy this and returned with a nee in the balls !! Fletch, annoyed, walked off !! On the train it was like a party, Blues singing at the top of there voices, some blues doing solo's, normal passengers laughing and a good party atmosphere on board !!
The lads soon arrived home, Warren went straight home, Fletch and Joe had a quick one at New Street station before departing for the evening !! Fletch returned home to do a Klinsmann dive on the living room floor for Daisy to admire !!
