Comments :
This game led to a few anxious moments, a new ground and a new team to see meant it was a fixture i had looked forward to since the fixtures where released. This would prove to be far from straight forward though as work commitments saw me working away from home without the use of my car, originally i was meant to be in Huddersfield but the guy who ended up with this secondment actually ended up being sent to Newcastle whereas i through one reason or another ended up being based in Walsall. Still in with a fighting chance....Tranmere with a bit of gentle persuasion and understanding staff agreed to pull the supporters coach off the M6 and pick me up although i had one last curveball to handle as on the day i found out i had two jobs to do over in Derby! Luckily for me the second one was cancelled and i was back at my hotel in plenty off time, just the stress of ''will the coach find me or forget about me? and the wait until i was finally on board. Once on the coach the driver decided to go via Wolverhampton to try and avoid roadworks on the M5 but this led to us covering a short distance over the next hour. We made it to the ground with 50mins to spare. The game was okay and a draw probably a fair result it was just frustrating that they equalised late on, but Newport had put us under pressure for periods of the second half and had hit the bar so it was a game we could have lost. On the way out the ground the burger bar were selling off the left over stock for a pound a time so i grabbed a steak pie before boarding the coach, being dropped off at midnight before the coach carried on back up the M6 with the weiry supporters due to arrive back in the early hours
