Comments :
My first Liverpool away game proved to be VERY eventful. Most of my match visits have been achieved on my own, at this juncture i was still living in North Wales but stayed at my Nans in Eastham on the Wirral to give me a chance of getting to this game. I had joined the official liverpool travel club and had to make my way to anfield to catch the coach. The great King Kenny Dalglish curled in a wonderful consolation in this my only visit to Filbert street but the drama unfolded once back in Liverpool i had failed to factor in the return time the back of midnight and found myself stranded in Liverpool with the trains finished for the night. I was 17 and my Nan didnt drive and was deaf so i couldnt get in touch. I can''t remember how i got to the tunnel but some lads waiting for a taxi through let me jump in to get the other side of the river but once there i had to hitch a lift, a car pulled over and i jumped in. The bloke inside said you want to watch who you take lifts from and as i glanced over i was horrified to see a bloke in drag! I spent the journey clutched to the passenger door but fortunatley the remainder of the journey passed without incident!
