A frustrating first half where we much of the possession pressing Blackpool but failed to score and the trend seemed to continue after the break however, following the introduction of Peter Whittingham, who not only livened the game up but scored in the 83'' when he nodded home a cross from Jay Bothroyd following good build up play down the left. We doubled our lead on 86'' when Ross McCormack stepped up to curl a wonderful free kick into the top corner and maintained his position as top goalscorer in the Championship.
