| Even though still a Chelsea fan at this time I visited The Valley because of the opponents, little knowing this would become the site of so many emotions for the rest of my life. The reason I went to this game was because when visitiing my Auntie, who lived nearby, my Dad said he would take us round to look at this famous old ground. As we were walking round we asked him that, if ever Chelsea played there, would he take us. Of course, he said he would. We walked around a corner to be confronted with a poster advertising this match! The match itself is a bit of a blur, although, I do remember how green the pitch appeared under floddlights.
