First of two EFL Cup matches to attend in South Wales, with Swansea v Cambridge the next day. Cardiff City Stadium very impressive. I sat in the grandstand and had an excellent view. Luton showed better movement and sharper passing from the start, and ran out worthy winners 3-0. Cardiff worked a few half-chances but every shot was straight at the Luton keeper. Star players were Luton''s Izzie Brown in midfield, who seemed to have more time than anyone else and breezed through the game, and a defender, Alan Sheehan, who was calm and commanding throughout and scored a superb curling free-kick. Luton fielded 3 former West Ham players (Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu, George Moncur and Elliot Lee) plus another 3 on the bench (Stech, Potts and Neufville). The home supporter sitting next to me was kind enough to give me a lift back to my hotel.
