Second choice game after confusion at Worcester raiders. Arrived early and took photos. Pitch was awful but good selection of food and drink with Sheppey''s cider, Cornish pasties and Mexican street food. Decent club shop with lots of choice. Had seen Taunton in the abandoned game at Eastbourne earlier in the season and had been impressed but they had lost a few players and had been in the headlines for a battle with HMRC in the last fortnight. I began supporting the home side but they were practicing the dark arts and were a bit physical so i started hoping for an Aveley win. The pitch wasn''t conducive to good football and for the first hour you couldn''t see a goal. Their was a few ill tempered scuffles before a back post header put Aveley ahead but a quick headed reply at the other end put the scores level. A harsh penalty regained the lead for the visitors before a scruffy og meant the points were shared.
