Comments :
picked my nephew and two of his kids up off the morning ferry, the morning was spent with a fleeting visit to Anfield and onto the safari park before heading to Crosby. Douglas ironically got the opener (9) after a cutback from the by line for a tap in. Stephens got a back post header on the left before FC IOM pulled one back from the spot before stephens got his second with a free header at the back stick. HT 3.1. An early goal from Sanderson-Rigby firing in from the edge of the box(49) made it 4-1. Whilst the scoreline probably was a fair reflection, both teams created and squandered chances. T he home keeper made three good saves and FC IOM hit the woodwork twice, AFC had missed a one on one as the away keeper made a good save but AFC scored on the counter after the second time FC had hit the post(90+2) Brookes finding the top right corner from a tight angle. Still their was time for another consolation with the last kick of the game Gale(90+3). FC looked a bit jaded with lots of unenforced errors and sloppy passes but both teams could easily have added to their respective scores
