Left home at about 17:50 and got the bus and tube from Tooting Broadway to Wembley Park. Had to prove that I have been double jabbed from COVID for entry and eventually got to my seat at about 19:20. My first ever international fixture and first taste of tournament football. The game itself wasn''t the worst considering it was 0-0 and the stadium was a quarter full due to COVID restrictions. The Italians were the better side in the first 20 mins of the game but the Austrians had the better of the 2nd half and scored after about 65 mins but it was disallowed for offside by VAR. The game went to extra time which was the best extra time period I''ve seen given that they are usually boring with nothing happening. The Italians eventually broke the deadlock and doubled their lead in the first half of extra time. Austria gave it everything in the second period and got one back with about 6 mins to spare but couldn''t take the game to penalties. Went back home by tube and got back home at about 23:50.
