Comments :
Nightmare day at work followed by a nightmare evening of travel. Stuck in rush hour traffic through the Liverpool tunnel on the way out and behind all the Welsh and Wirral based scousers heading home after their European game against AC Milan. Worth the trip though, nice peppered steak pie in the ground and a decent seat. The game started a bit rough and ready with Clitheroe having the edge scoring on 19 minutes when a low cross went in off Gonzales knee. They added a second when a short backpass was only partially cleared and Dent curled home from twenty yards past the former Tranmere apprentice keeper Bayleigh Passant along with Joyce and Devine, the latter off the bench. The game turned ugly when a home player had his elbow dislocated amidst claims it was deliberate from fans around me. A mass brawl ensued and a Marine player sent off, ht 2-0. Marine came out strongly in the second half and you couldn''t tell they where a man down as the football improved however Marine were reduced to nine men after a second bookable offence(the first apparently for decent after the first mealy. Still Marine continued to impress in an even second half despite being two players down. Five minutes from time the hosts had their own player sent off, i missed the incident but once again a mass brawl ensued. Final score 2-0
