Went with Dad on the supporters coach from Sutton. Left home at about 6:30 am and drove to Sutton to get the coach. The coach left Sutton at about 7:30 and we took a brake at Watford Gap services before getting to Scunthorpe just after midday. Went to Pizza Hut for lunch and then went to the ground for the game. The game itself was one of the worst I have seen for ages. Neither side got their foot on the ball and both sides settled for hoof ball. We had arguably the better chances in the first half but not enough to warrant a lead at HT. Came out the 2nd half exactly the same with both sides playing pretty dire stuff once again. About 5 mins into the 2nd half Scunthorpe took the lead through poor defending, goalkeeping and refereeing. Once we made changes, bringing Enzio and Ricky on we battered them last 30 or so minutes and eventually got a deserved equaliser with 5 mins to go through some lovely wing play by Enzio squaring it to Wilson who backheeled it into the net. We should''ve won the game at the end with 2 straightforward chances falling to Wilson and Eastmond that we didn''t take but a point away from home is never a bad result. Got back on the coach but again, didn''t leave until 17:40 ish as we waited for the media team. Stopped at Watford Gap again on the way back and got back to Sutton at about 22:00, getting home just before 22:30.
