Odd ground! One excellent stand, brand new. The rest is less impressive. Jim''s Sports Bar before the game was good. Programme only cost £1. Weather awful. Even though I was under a substantial and extensive roof, this didn''t stop me getting pelted with hailstones twice in the last 10 mins before kick-off. Freezing cold wind blew in off the Irish Sea. Brrr... Not conducive to good football, but it wasn''t a bad match in the circs. Pompey suffered a bit from having played the EFL Cup semi-final in midweek (with the same XI) while Fleetwood had their feet up, and it showed a bit. Fleetwood guilty of blatant time-wasting and lots of ''falling over''. Parked so close to the ground that I could hear the final whistle as I unlocked the car to drive quickly down to St Helens for the Rugby League World Club Challenge.
