I went to this match on the away coach. We got there in good time and I had Burger King at the services on the way. I expected us to win this match and was feeling excited about a big crowd going to the match. Before the match I sat on a bench in a lovely park watching the sun go down in the distance. I was chatting to Sally Brett by text for a while. Once in the ground I settled into s good standing position behind the goal. The match kicked off and Grimsby started brightly. However suddenly Salford scores with a fierce free kick which swerved past a motionless James McKeown. He should’ve saved it. Grimsby were walking around, no interest. I assume trying to save themselves for next weeks Chelsea match. Half time we were all feeling dejected! In the second half a superb free kick was scored. However in bizzare fashion the goal was disallowed just as Salford were about to kick off. It was deemed Matt Green had pushed the wall. I was absolutely fuming! The match went in. It was all Grimsby but somehow no goal was to happen. Their should have been three penalties! Their goalkeeper tipped it over the bar, numerous blocked shots. How on earth did Salford win that match. On the coach journey home I felt angry all the way. I got back into our house at about 0100am.
