Match no. 1373. Stevenage''s first game under caretaker-manager Mark Sampson after the sacking of Dino Maamria but it ended in another defeat. Borough played some enterprising and positive football but again looked vulnerable at the back and lost to an 83rd minute goal by Harry McKirdy, who played 13 games for Borough while on loan 3 years ago and was a thorn in our side throughout the game. With Scunthorpe recording their first win of the season Borough are now bottom of League Two with just 3 points from 8 games. Carlisle wore a mint green away strip which was smart but totally unnecessary. 51 years ago today - Match no. 81 - West Ham 2-2 Spurs - a great game played throughout in pouring rain.
