Comments :
Yet another increasingly common "random" match with a trip oop North to Kingston-upon-Hull. This was our chance to experience Boothferry Park before Hull moved into their new home at the KC Stadium.   We broke the journey up by finding a pub just south of Doncaster, actually passing Belle Vue on the way (don't think that counts as a visit though!).   Soon the Humber Bridge came into sight and we had a nice little drive up Anlaby Road towards the ground. We found some street parking about 15 minutes walk away (which, judging by most of my reports seems like the average distance for walking to a stadium from the car).   Boothferry Park was very old school.  Terraces graced both sides and the away end appeared to be a few steps coming off the back of a supermarket!  We opted for the upper tier of the main end stand which gave quite a commanding view of the ground and the surrounding countryside with the new stadium rising up on the horizon.   On the pitch Hull went 1-0 up but struggled to maintain the lead, finally drawing 1-1 giving the tiny band of Swansea supporters something to cheer about.   Looking back at this in 2009, it's hard to believe where both clubs have now ended up after watching this dire 4th tier game!
