Can''t say I care for Swindon much - it''s a pretty souless town. But the football stadium''s not bad and the match was decent. When the reds go ''steaming'' in was sung on the terraces behind the goal (a steam railway link I guess!). Norm''s neighbour, Chris Weale, was playing in goal for Shrewsbury. And Nile Ranger (ex Newcastle) was on the bench for Swindon. Smith scored twice on his debut and Ranger got Swindon''s other goal. The Shrews were unlucky to be honest. They equalised during the torrential rainstorm towards the end of the first half and then they completely dominated the second half, hitting the woodwork twice and forcing a string of saves from the Swindon keeper. But Swindon scored twice late on to give them a flattering result. Cruel game. Oh - and it was STFC v STFC - now that''s a bit weird!!
