Not the worst game in the world but certainly not the greatest game. Left home in Chester at about 10:30 and walked to the train station. Got the 10:50 train to Crewe and then had to change train to get to Birmingham and change again to get to Burton. Got to Burton station at about 13:25 and embarked on the 30 odd mins walk to the ground. The walk was a dead straight line parallel to the railway line. Got to the ground just before 14:00 and went in club shop and collected my matchday ticket. Went into the ground at about 14:10 and had lunch before the game started. The first 15 mins of the game was quite entertaining with Burton controlling possession and moving the ball around very well while creating a few chances. They just couldn''t take them. The game died off a bit and not much happened for the next 15-20 mins and it was goalless at HT. Burton were the better side and Bristol Rovers look like a side that will struggle at the bottom end of the table this season. The 2nd half was quite lively with both sides playing decent football and with the game opening up a bit more due to the fact it was 0-0 it created a bit of entertainment. Burton hit the crossbar and post in the 2nd half and Bristol Rovers had a goal disallowed for offside as well in the 1st half. However, in the last minute the ball was played across the box for Burton and their number 12''s turn and shot went in and gave Burton the victory which they did deserve given the balance of play. Left the ground and walked back to the station and manged to get their in time for the earlier train so didn''t have to wait 1 hour at Burton. This meant I got the connection that was an hour earlier through to Chester and ended up getting home at about 20:00 rather than 21:00. Nice ground, decent game overall just a shame I didn''t see as many goals as I probably should have.
