Match no. 529. First visit to Prenton Park. Visiting my mate Steve who was, by this time, studying at Liverpool University. Having taken the ferry to Birkenhead, we caught a bus but Steve decided it wasn''t going in the right direction. So we got off and hailed a cab. We told the driver we wanted to go to Tranmere Rovers football ground and he said that it was the first time in 25 years as a Liverpool cabbie that anyone had asked to go there!
