The first of my 92 league grounds adventure was an entertaining game in a newly built stadium in the middle of a shopping park. It can take the passion away especially when the ground isn''t based in the city but you feel close to the pitch and the view from the away end was very good.   - - The other problem about grounds is the nearest pubs are a 10 minute walk from the stadium. The Beehive is the only pub nearby which allows away fans and we were told about this from a very helpful Bolton fan.   - - Travel was a big issue. Traveling out on the London Underground is a nightmare at the weekend as most of the lines have planned engineering work which made my trip to Euston very difficult. This was also the scene in Bolton where there were no trains between Bolton and Horwich Parkway (where the ground is situated). We got the rail replacement bus and reached the ground in enough time to see the West Ham players arrived.   - - West Ham took a large number of fans and created most of the atmosphere as  - - the Bolton fans didn''''t sing anything until their first goal on 10 minutes. The Bolton drummer made some noise but in brief periods and when he did get going late in the second half it seem to help West Ham''''s attacking siege on the Bolton goal.   - - My pie of choice was chicken balti but sadly they didn''t have any. I took a beef one which was very filling and reasonably priced.   - A nice start to my trek dispute the result and some mindless West Ham fans damaging their seats. A good atmosphere between the fans and the ground was family friendly, which may explain why the home fans - as well as their form - were quiet.
