Arguably the biggest game in Solihull Moors history, including the histories of Moor Green and Solihull Borough. A midweek FA Cup 1st Round replay following a 2-2 draw at Huish Park. It was the new Manager, Liam Macdonald''s, first game in charge of Moors after Marcus Bignot''s departure to Grimsby. Long queues at the turnstiles - first time I''d seen this at Damson Park. Plenty of well-behaved and somewhat elderly Yeovil fans in the crowd. Yeovil looked the better side in the first half, creating the better chances. 2nd half, Moors gradually took more control of the game and had three decent chances in the last 10 minutes. 0-0 after 90 minutes. 93 minutes - a worldy from Yeovil''s Francois Zoko, pegged back 5 mins later by an Asante penalty. 1-1 after extra time. Penalty shoot-out won by Moors who scored 4 convincing pens out of 4. Cue Hereford-style pitch invasion. Great night great win. Exciting match with plenty of good football.
