On a chilly afternoon, Bromsgrove warmed up for their FA Vase Last 32 tie with a convincing 5-0 win over County rivals Pershore. Playing up the hill, Bromsgrove went ahead through a brace from Andy Nicol. Shorthouse added a third with the last kick of the first half and Nicol secured the match ball, (if he goes and fetches it from a garden on the Birmingham Road) with the first move of the second period. Jason Cowley made it a nap hand when he nodded in from inches after a rasping drive had burst through the keeper's hands and rebounded from the bar.
