The game was quite physical and not pretty on the eye the referee seemed to award the home side an inordinate amount of the decisions. Braintree put rovers under a lot of pressure in the second half with two efforts cleared off the line but the game was settled with one moment of sheer quality with cook redeeming himself with a superb shot from outside the box finding the top corner. On a personal level it felt a lucky day, i got to kick one of the warm up balls back, obtained Davies gloves at the end of the game and the food kiosk was selling off their burgers for a pound on the way out this coupled with the three points made it a very good day
