Tranmeres first ever 1st team visit to Aggbourgh 797 away fans travelled aided by subsidised coaches at £10 a head rovers took four coaches including one double decker however early weather reports had news of snow in various parts of the midlands and floods closing the M6 however these problems had disappeared by the time we arrived. On the whole most of the locals were very friendly although three or four were visably ejected. The food lived up to my recollections and it''s reputation. The game wasn''t a classic rovers shaded the first half with Norwood controlling a high ball into the box before turning home from close range and the home keeper had to make two more saves before half time. Tranmere started the second half on the defensive dropping very deep but Harriers offered little in the way of a threat one home player however twice had strong long runs through a parting defence before late interventions. In the last quarter of the game the home keeper had to make two more fine saves before Norwood added his second lifting the ball over the defender before slotting smartly past the keeper in injury time.
