Bristol Rovers 2-1 Northampton Bristol Rovers narrowly saw off the challenge of Northampton. Matt Gill''s free-kick was volleyed home by Jo Kuffour to give the Pirates the lead at half-time. Cobblers striker Adebayo Akinfenwa levelled when he blocked Cian Bolger''s attempted clearance and the ball rebounded into the net. Matt Harold won the game for the hosts when he was quickest to react to Chris Zebroski''s mis-hit shot and lashed home from 10 yards out. VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM Bristol Rovers manager Paul Buckle told BBC Radio Bristol: These people pay good money to come and watch and the first thing I want to feed them is fight and spirit. On another night we''ll smash someone because we were aggressive and created chance after chance. The key to it now is to keep it going and the fans know we are trying to put the pride back into the club.
