I had the honour of being a Special Guest at this game as a ''Thank You'' from West Ham for assisting them on their pre-season visit to my home village in Devon. Myself and a friend were given the full Directors Box treatment including a post match meal. Harry Redknapp looked after us brilliantly with introductions to both Chairmen. Ex Chelsea & England player Alan Hudson sat next to us. West Ham won with two penalties
