Charlton were 3-0 down after a blistering start to the match from Barnsley, Ron Futcher hitting a hat-trick for them in the first 25 minutes. Charlton got a goal back before the break before turning on the gas in the second half for a terrific comeback victory. As for poor old Ron Futcher, I doubt he bothered to collect the match ball for his efforts - he was sent off after picking up two bookings!
