Comments :
Thoroughly entertaining game viewed from the Cowshed at Exeter. Exeter played some really good football. Liked the quirkiness of St. James Park. The large terraced bank at one end: the shallow terracing at the other: the main stand truncated a third of the way along the touchline by the intruding rail embankment and the Cowshed raised terracing on a 6 foot bank. Sadly, we have few such idiosyncratic ground left and even those that are, like Exeter, are subject to re-design to rid themselves of some of their quirkiness. Although in fairness Exeter has retained more than most.
