Comments :
1st game of 2 on this Boxing day. Decided to go and see Diss as my mate Mikey had just recently signed for them. Picked Craig up from Ipswich at 10 and made the journey to Diss in good time for what was an 11am kick off. Only £5 to get in and a further 50p to get into the Main Stand. Was an excellent little ground and the game was well attended with a good atmosphere. As has often been the case when I have been to see my mates play, Mikey was on the bench (he swiftly told me I must be cursed with it always happening!). The game was excellent and both sides tried to play football keeping the ball on the deck and making some good passes. The game really had everything a sending off for both sides, a penalty for both sides, good good saves and a couple of decent goals. Mikey came on with 10 minutes left just after Diss went 3-1 up and almost scored a cameo goal only for the keeper to make a decent save when he was through 1 on 1. Diss ended up winning 3-2 and the game was thoroughly enjoyable. Got back to the car by about 1 to make the journey up the road to what was to be the 2nd leg of the day a local top of the table Ryman Premier clash between Lowestoft Town and Bury Town.
