An absolute classic. Blackburn manager Graeme Souness, had been spouting on about his team was better than Fulham, with both teams heading for promotion. I''d travelled up by train, accompanied on the last leg from Manchester, by the Fulham drummer. We got off to a bad start, Jansen scoring after 6 mins, then Rufus Brevett was sent off. Louis Saha sneaked an equaliser just before halftime. Blackburn battered us in the second half, but the defence held firm. In injury time a break from defence and Simon Davis scores. Cue delirium in the Fulham ranks. Absolutely brilliant. I walked back to my B&B on the mobile to Mike, and got lost, but eventually found it.
