Dear, dear Manchester City. I have been to Maine Rd several times but this game somehow typifies the club. Who else but a City centre-forward (Billy MacAdams) &nbsp - would score a hat-trick in the first half and end up on the losing side? What other club would win the Championship (1937) then get relegated next year with the same players? Only City have finished a season with 100+ in both goal columns. Only City would spend&nbsp - fortune to buy a self-indulgent player&nbsp - to throw away&nbsp - the Championship (Rod Marsh). &nbsp - Imre Banana, Ali and his goat,&nbsp - offering out Ricky Hatton the humour never ends. &nbsp - Is this the best club to throw money at? Whilst I great affection for City I hope they do not lose their unique character and humour if the new owners ambitions come true.
