Went with Dad and Joseph and met Dad's friend Joe at ground. Left home about 11:40 and got the bus to Tooting Broadway where we then got the tube to Liverpool Street. We got there at about 12:40 and got on the 12:55 train to Prittlewell station where we had a 10-15 mins walk to the ground. Once at the ground we did the usual stuff of going to the club shop and walking around the ground. We got in the ground at about 14:10 and went to have cup of tea in tea bar and then went to sit in seats where we met Joe. The game itself was a good game with both sides playing good football with a large amount of chances for both sides. Southend were the better side for the majority of the 1st half but Rochdale still looked like they could score. In the 2nd half the tide turned and Rochdale started looking like the stronger side and deservedly got an equaliser even though it was deflected and looped over the Southend goalkeeper. Last 15-20 mins was end to end football and it looked as though either side could win it. In the end ball landed to Simon Cox in the penalty box and he stuck it in the top corner in injury time. Overall, was a very exciting game between 2 good sides who will be up there with the promotion chase at the end of the season. From about the beginning of the 2nd half the temperature dropped and it became very cold sitting watching the football. After the game we walked back to Prittlewell station and got the train back to Liverpool Street and we then got the underground back to Tooting Broadway back home and got back at about 19:30.
