Me and Dan picked Daniel up from Fairoaks at 14.20 and got to our seats at 19.40. The atmosphere was absolutely electric. I''ve never witness such noise at a football match before. and so the season, the best I''ve ever experienced, came to an end. It was brilliant and very unlikely ever to be bettered.

En route to watching Sunderland vs Leicester, I thought I''d cross off the Riverside. Got to say it is essentially a more compact version of the Stadium of Light inside and out, very chilled surroundings near the river and with some trendy abstract art between the river and stadia as well. Game itself was actually pretty special - play-off semi final, comprehensive 3-0 win, some class goals, particuarly the first from Lee Tomlin, former Sunderland chaps Whitehead and Leadbitter played very well, the atmosphere was bouyan throughout with a lot of singing and everyone going ballad moment and getting their phone lights out towards the end. Pitch invasion at the end as well. Many of the fans coming out the ground were claiming it be the best game at the ground in many a year, so like Dagenham earlier in the season I fortunately managed to pick out a bit of a belter. Not a lot to do in Boro town centre though it''s got to be said.
