Aldershot kept their slim play-off hopes alive with victory over Bristol Rovers thanks to Peter Vincenti's goal. The Shots picked up their fourth consecutive victory when Vincenti found the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area. Aaron Morris had already blazed well over the bar on the half-volley by that stage, while Vincenti's volley sailed over after the break. It was a bit hairy at the end, and they showed the desire to keep the clean sheet. Before the game we spoke about the players and the team being the third best defensive record in the division, and I challenged them to make it the best in the division, and keeping clean sheets will do that. We know we will score goals. But you've got to be comfortable defending and we are. It's also important when you do get the chance you take it and I'm pleased for Peter (Vincenti) for his goal tonight.
