The first game of 2009-10, an early kick-off attended with Joe and Cat Tyler. I'd left Charlotte at home. We had a pre-match drink at the hotel along Fulham Road, in between Fulham Broadway and the ground (or was it between the two stadium gates?). Stephen Hunt started for Hull that day and was obviously very unpopular, the worst player to open the scoring against the run of play. Ancelotti's diamond was still very rigid and settling in, working almost how it would on Football Manager with very little width. Thankfully Drogba got both goals with a trademark free-kick and an accidental 91st minute from a tight angle, supplied by Deco. The Shed End erupted. Chelsea: Petr Cech, John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho, Ashley Cole, Jose da Silva Bosingwa, Florent Malouda (Souza Deco, 69), Frank Lampard, John Obi Mikel (Michael Ballack, 46), Michael Essien, Nicolas Anelka (Salomon Kalou, 79), Didier Drogba Hull City Boaz Myhill, Andy Dawson, Michael Turner, Bernard Mendy (Deiberson Geovanni, 78), Anthony Gardner, Steven Mouyokolo, Stephen Hunt (Kamel Ghilas, 69), Dean Marney (Nicky Barmby, 44), George Boateng, Seyi Olofinjana, Caleb Folan
