The first game of a new season and expectations are high for Birmingham after relegation from the Premiership !! A few in the Wagon and Horses before and a walk up to the ground in the rainy miserable weather !! A poor first half and half time soon arrived thank god !! Fletch and Jimmy meet up with Big Eck at half time for a pint at half time while the smokers go off to polute the ozone layer !! The second half begins and is not that much better !! Blues have there fair share of possesion but can not break through, Kevin Phillips is brought on for his debut to a standing ovation. Garry O'Connor comes on and its all out attack for Birmingham but still not many chances !! The board goes up for injury time and the games heading for a draw but then a unbeliavable moment. Maik Taylor pumps the ball forwards, Garry O'Connor heads on and Kevin Phillips produces a finish as good as you could see anywhere in the world !! Back to goal Phillips manages to fire lie in the far corner past Paddy Kenny and wins the game !! St Andrews erupts, Jimmy and Fletch jump for joy along with the rest off the group next to them, everyone cant stop jumping, a awful game is won with a world class strike !! The blues fans sing super kev and the whistle soon arrives !! Blues are up and running !! The group head to the adam and eve now with Joe, Mat and Paul on board and start getting hammered. After a few hours everyone seems to go there own way !! Fletch, Daisy, Joe & Jimmy head to the anchor quickly court up by Jody !! Cash, Warren, Help and Marc go the Dubliner !! Nicky goes home !! Marc manages to get himself nicked at new street scrapping with some redditch lads and everyone goes there own way !! Fletch and Joe hit the shoes for a few before retiring for the evening !!
