Went with Ghouter and second time lucky we actually got to watch the game !  After disappointment in August we chose this friday night match to get the Withdean stadium in.  Picked Ghouter up from Oserley tube station and made our way round the M25 ( slowly ) and down to Brighton where we had a well deserved meal in a Harvester pub befor the game.  On arrival at the stadium we were thinking the worst as we realised the stand wasn't covered ! Oh no please dont rain was the general thinking on this one !  Brighton took an early lead but MK came back to win 4-2 comfortably.  The 22 man brawl was entertaining but no red cards were shown ! The crowds in the south stand were rather hostile towards the linesman who was only a few yards from the outer running track where the fans were walking.  Enjoyable trip overall and got back faster than the speed of light in 2 hours.

Went with Barnard on what was another entertaining trip.  Steve was picking me up at Osterley Tube station in West London.  I got the train down to Liverpool street and took an hour or so journey across London on the Piccadilly line which was absolutely crammed for the middle of the afternoon!  Traffic was crappy on the M25 but once on the M23 the journey went really quickly, had hardly eaten all day and I was starving by the time we had a well earned meal in a Harvester before the game.  Took the Park and Ride to the ground again and went in about 50 minutes prior to kick off, we made our way to the empty(at that time) south stand which was entirely uncovered, it was bloody freezing and at that stage I was thinking it was a bloody long time until kick off!  The 50 minutes went quite quickly the highlight being a MK Dons fan going mental on his own and a Soccer Am 3rd eye moment when the goalkeepers warming up launching big kicks down field launced one smacking the little mascot boy in the back of the head making him cry!  The stand soon filled up and Brighton scored an early goal, it was 1-1 at half time and MK Dons scored a super goal just into the 2nd half, a guy called Jemal Johnson the star man on the left wing scored it and got a late breakaway goal to kill the game at 4-2 right at the end.  The referee was shocking got so many decisions wrong it was a joke! The MK Dons homophobic chants were particularly amusing, 'we can see you , we can see you, we can see you holding hands!' 'Rent boys, give us a song, rent boys, rent boys give us a song!'  There was a 22 man brawl and several other incidents where players got together brawling but surprisingly no red cards.  The local yobs were giving the linesman and ref loads of verbal from beside the pitch.  Journey home was really quick, just 2 or so hours from Brighton back to Suffolk.
