Milton Keynes...odd place, lots of roundabouts, grass verges, subways and car parks. Pub in Buckingham.  Very nice and rural.  Good pint.  Roaring fire. Easy, easy car parking due to the town being one massive car park.   National Hockey Stadium was very open to the elements.  Got a burger and tea from the burger van.  No roof on the temporary away end and it threatened to rain all match. The interestingly designed main stand was the only real original feature of the hockey stadium.  Over the opposite side was a very small open stand with flags at the back of it, just about covering halfway line, making that side of the ground very empty. At the opposite end a traditional away end had been constructed called "The Cow Shed".   A lot of abuse was hurled at the so-called "Plastics" due to the fact the general feeling is that the club was stolen from Wimbledon.  Still, what's done is done and the people of Milton Keynes now have a football club.   City took a lead but the Dons equalised.  Scott Murray got the winner as I recall to send us back home happy!
