Although this was a great night for Burnley, great credit goes to Chelsea, club and fans. First, Chelsea cut the prices so the ground was full, they put out a strong team. Phil Scolari and John Terry were by all accounts, superb with the Burnley manager and players. The fans we met were sporting and took the defeat well. Some may object  to the money, but there is class here to.

Apart from the yet to come 2009 Championship Play Off Final victory over Sheffield United, this 4:5 penalty shoot out victory over Chelsea was my best experience as a Burnley fan to date. Heroes: Ade Akinbiyi for his equaliser in the 69th minute, Michael Duff for his superb 5th penalty shot and last but by no means least, Brian Jensen for saving the last Chelsea penalty attempt. Life as a Claret doesn't get much better than this!
