- You will have plenty of choice of pubs like the old ground in the area apart from the Crown doesnβt even admit even neutrals. So we use The Derby Tup at 387 Sheffield Road Good staff and friendly locals. Fantastic range of beers and all most excellent then got a seat by the roaring real fire which made the whole experience even better. You pass the stadium walk up on to Sheffield Road at itβs on the right and only 9 minutes from the ground
- If driving
- Leave the M1 at Junction 29 and take the A617 towards Chesterfield. At the end of the dual carriageway at the edge of the town centre, turn right onto the A61 towards Sheffield. At the first roundabout turn left and the stadium is down on the right. For the main entrance turn right into Sheffield Road and then right again into the Club Car Park. However the club car park is for permit holders only. There is nearby street parking available on side roads off the Sheffield Road.
Don't use the Tesco store, as the car park is patrolled on matchdays.
- Public transport
- To walk from the Railway Station follow the 'Stonegravels Way' footpath and cycle route that leads past the Chesterfield Hotel and up Brewery Street over the dual carriage way. Turn right down the steps and proceed along Infirmary Road past Chesterfield College and straight ahead along Canal Wharf. Where this joins Hazlehurst Lane take a right onto a new footpath which runs alongside the dual carriageway. Proceed until the footpath runs along the boundary of the Casa Hotel to immerge at Lockoford Lane where there will be the first sighting of the Proact Stadium. Walk through the underpass past Tesco walk up to the lights turn right cross the road and walk down to the ground.
