Derby County | 1 Aug 1884 | 31 May 1895 | The club was a founder member of the Football League in 1888. Although it occupied a large area, the facilities for spectators were very poor and it became obvious that a new venue would be required. In 1892 Derby County FC played two matches at The Baseball Ground when race meetings took precedence at the ground and moved there permanently in 1895. The club was also involved in a Test Match at the neutral venue of Filbert Street. |
