GROUND HISTORY adapted from "The Ultimate Directory of English & Scottish Football League Grounds"

Located to the south of the city centre, the ground was on the east side of the High Street, behind St Mary’s Guildhall. Lincoln City was formed in 1884, playing their first match at John O’Gaunt’s in the same year, and although it was an enclosed ground there were no facilities other than a dressing tent for the players. Lincoln City moved out to Sincil Bank in 1895 and the site was later utilized for the construction of Sibthorp Street and housing.
